Quick Packing Tips
Use What You Have
Suitcases, laundry bags, and bin liners are great for clothes and soft items. Save money on boxes.
Pack Heavy at the Bottom
Books and heavy items go at the bottom of boxes. Light items on top. Keeps boxes stable and protects fragile items.
Label Everything
Mark each box with its room destination and contents. Use colour-coded tape for each room.
Protect Fragile Items
Wrap breakables in bubble wrap or clothing. Fill empty space in boxes with newspaper or towels.
Photograph Electronics
Take photos of the back of your TV, computer, and router before disconnecting. Makes reconnecting a breeze.
Essentials Box
Pack a box you'll open first: kettle, mugs, tea, toilet roll, phone chargers, snacks, and cleaning supplies.
