Why We Don't Charge Weekend Premiums

Many moving companies charge 20-50% more for weekend and evening moves. They argue it's "unsocial hours." We disagree. Moving is stressful and expensive enough without being penalised for having a job during the week.

Around 40% of our bookings are evenings and weekends — it's a core part of our business, not an afterthought. We staff accordingly, and we charge fairly.

Building Rules & Noise

Many London buildings restrict moving hours. We're experienced with building management requirements and will work within permitted times. For evening moves, we're mindful of noise and use padded equipment to minimise disturbance to neighbours.

Do you really charge the same for weekends?

Yes — 100% the same rates. No weekend surcharge, no evening premium, no bank holiday extra. The price you see is the price you pay, regardless of when you book.

What evening times are available?

Weekday evening slots run from 5pm to 9pm. Start times of 5pm, 6pm, and 7pm are available depending on demand. For later starts, please call to check availability.

Can I book a full house move on a Saturday?

Absolutely — Saturdays are our busiest day for house moves. We recommend booking 2-3 weeks ahead for Saturday availability, especially at month-end.

Are bank holidays available?

Yes — we operate on all standard UK bank holidays at regular rates. Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day availability is limited — please call ahead.

What about noise restrictions in the evening?

We're mindful of noise during evening moves. We use padded equipment, close van doors quietly, and respect your neighbours. We also work within any building management restrictions.

Is packing available on weekends?

Yes — all services including packing, storage, assembly, and clearance are available on weekends at standard rates.
